Military Reenactment Society of NZ (www.ww2reenactors.co.nz), the safety of our members and the public is our top priority. To ensure we operate responsibly and in compliance with New Zealand law, we have set the following age requirements for membership:

Minimum Age Requirement

• The minimum age to join our club as a member is 18 years old.
  
  

Exceptions for Under 18s

We recognize that some younger people are very interested in WWII history and reenactment. For this reason, we allow participation under the following strict conditions:

• A person under 18 may only take part if their parent or legal guardian is also an active member of the club.
• The parent or guardian must provide direct supervision at all times.
• Under-18 participants are considered to be on a probationary allowance rather than full membership.
• They must follow the instructions of senior members at all times.
• At the unit Commanders discretion – on rare occasions they may allow members that are almost 18, often with limited capacity or in a Civilian/non combat roll that fits with the unit.
  
  

Reason for These Rules

These requirements exist to:

• Ensure health and safety for all participants and the public.
• Maintain compliance with New Zealand firearms laws, which place strict responsibilities on the handling and use of firearms and replicas.
