About the Military Reenactment Society of NZ
The Military Reenactment Society performs public displays
and battles at events such as the MOTAT’s Open Day, Tauranga Airshow

Ardmore Airport open days, The Very Vintage Day Out,
Auckland Museum Heritage days, and many other events.
At these shows we display camps and equipment, mock battle scenarios and
perform scripted battles using blank ammunition and
pyrotechnics in a manner as close as realistically possible to the
conditions prevailing at the time Periods we represent.
The MRS are also used as reference for modeling and gaming
companies, we have also been used in TV ads for
Sky network Television, movierolls as extras and military
advisers. The club took part in theNew Zealand premiere
of Saving Private Ryan, the Valkyrie movie andThe Pacific (TV miniseries).
We provided props and Soldiers for the 75th Anniversary of Jeep.
Recently we have supplied props and extras for Viva La Dirt League.
Our members are passionate about history, for most of us it’s a hobby
and a lifestyle, we get involved in vehicle restoration, collecting and
restoring other historic equipment.
We are always looking for more like minded members, if this interests
